I'm a big David Fincher fan (I loved "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo"; I really hope he directs "The Girl Who Played with Fire" and "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest"), and you're right, "The Dark Knight Returns" is one of the best, if not THE best, graphic novel of all time. I think David Fincher's a great choice for a film version.
Unfortunately, If they did make a film version of "The Dark Knight Returns", I'm almost positive it's gonna be directed by Zack Snyder. At the 2008 Comic Con, he said that he'd like to make it into a movie, and some time later, Frank Miller gave him his blessing to do so. Now, I have nothing against Zack Snyer; I just think that David Fincher's a better choice.
By the way, I love the poster. I just have one little critique: In "The Dark Knight Returns", Batman is supposed to be a lot bigger. And, in the poster, he looks very thin and lean.

David Fincher has this unique/dark style that can definitely fit with this Dark Knight story! great work! :D

Darn! I was going to do a TDKR poster like this, and this is just so much better than I could have made it. No matter, I'll do a version of one of the cover variants. However... believe me when I say this is truly, sublimely good! :D
